Features: _{Even though everyone in her family is short and stout, Kanie is the opposite. She is quite slim and tall considering her species. Her tail is about as long and as thick as her leg. Her reddish hair is a characteristic of her family. 6 inches of whiskers droop down the sides of her snout, which makes her scratch her nose constantly.}

<sub>Kanie is an otter that always seems out of it, in her own little world. If someone asks her a question, it would take a few moments for her to respond to you, and most of the time her response will be convoluted or just doesn't answer anything. She often thinks about what she is going to say before she does, but that doesn't mean much considering what goes on her head (which isn't much.) Kanie isn't the sharpest nail in the shed, so for words she doesn't know, she explains them by using a good example (good in her eyes.) If someone uses too many words she doesn't know, she would most likely break down or just interrupt the person and make them explain themselves/the words they were using. Despite this, most people get a kick about her way of explaining things.

Because of constantly being talked down to, she doesn't really know how to make big decisions by herself. She would gladly follow someone who would make these decisions for her. Even though she has a hard time understand anything, she gets the basics of emotions and she knows how it sucks to be sad. If she sees someone sad, she'll try to pull a funny face or attempt to make something with her (poor) alchemy skills. (WIP)</sub>

[[[Backstory]]]

_{As a youngster, Kanie lived in a little house with her mother and father. They weren't the richest people on the ship, but they made do with what they had. Her mother took care of her and her father was experienced with Dowsing. He wasn't hired for much, however, because of where they lived. They lived in the far outskirts of the city, right near the edge of the border. Her parents were great to her and to everyone. They were respected in the small community because of their generosity and their abilities. Because of her slow nature, Kanie didn't live up to her parent's influence. She often told herself "Children should be seen, not heard." because of this reason. She didn't speak to many people as a child, because of her mind being somewhere else.
Growing up, it was difficult for her to learn and remember certain words, so she carried/carries around a notebook of words to write down words that are confusing or difficult. (I forgot to put this on accessories. I'll add it later.) Kanie's father was her mentor for making alchemy. The only thing she was good at was finding the ingredients to make the alchemy, everything else was just gibberish to her. After many years of trying to teach his daughter, he gave up trying to teach her. She mainly kept to herself as a child, but started to open up to others when she was pressured to learn more about her environment and everyone in it. She is still trying to grasp the concepts of real life.}

_{Fran slipped her fingers under the band of her eyepatch to make sure it was on properly before grabbing her bag and leaving her home. She took in a breath of the semi-salty air that was spinning around her, then walked down her porch to the sidewalk. It was around 7:00 am, and she was on her way to school. She walked almost sluggishly because of how early it was, but the nip of the wind helped her eyes stay open. After leaving her peaceful neighborhood, she went to the boardwalk. Her school had a perfect view of the ocean, so her walk was right next to the beach. The bright pink/orange sun shined on the water, making the atmosphere perfect to be in. As she walked, she turned her head to the beach. The water was several meters down, but she could see something large near the ocean. Fran stopped walking and turned her whole body to the beach, tilting her head to the side. 'What is that…?' she thought, taking off her shoes to go check it out. She bounded over to the thing washed up, and stared at it. It was a body. Confused, she poked it with her sandy-sock toe. "Hey..."} (post made September 1st, 2013 on Skype.)

This is my App for a group i'd like to join. Some important points like some of the backstory and her character are a WIP, but don't worry i'll think of some ideas as soon as possible. If something doesn't make sense or you have advice to make this better drop a comment below <3
